Many have asked if I'll be selling these nursing shirts.
This was a commisioned piece to use as a prototype for manufacturing.
If you would like more information on purchasing shirts made in the future based on this design, email: jennytrimble@gmail.com
Thanks!
A friend commissioned me to make sure a shirt she's been wanting to make nursing more convenient. She described what she wanted, so using her shirt that fit well as a pattern, I made a new t-shirt out of pink knit she picked out.
To make it accessible for breast-feeding, there are snaps along the empire seam, and up to the sleeve seam.
Hope it works for her!
Very cute! You are very talented!
ReplyDeleteOH MY GOODNESS! I think you are a stinking GENIUS!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteIf your friend doesn't love it, she's crazy! I would have killed, ok- maybe not killed, but definitely jumped the woman I saw wearing this and ripped it off her so I could have it, if I saw someone wearing this when I was nursing and fighting with all those shirts!
On a more serious-less-crazed note:
Excellent job!!!!! Mind if I try my hand at the concept for a friend who is expecting and will be nursing?
Holy cow Jess, that is AMAZING!! I might have to commission you to make a few for me...i hate nursing shirts, but that looks like pure genius!
ReplyDeleteI would have loved a few of those shirts! Very cute.

ReplyDeleteOne question though, are the snaps hard to do back up one handed?
LOVE IT! (I will now officially be blog stalking you now!)

GENIUS!!!
ReplyDeleteMay I ask you to give me tips on how to sew snap tape? I even asked for advice on my blog a year or so ago when I was trying to use it on a project. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to machine sew it. Zipper foot catches or is too wide and it just left me wasting days and being frustrated. Project is still pinned and unsewn a year later! I would so appreciate any advice you can share!
ReplyDeleteThanks,
KK
