This was my entry for Project Toddler Runway Week 1.
There were some really cute projects, like the yellow dress that won, so I feel lucky to have made it through to next week--flower hair accessory inspiration, which is a challenge for me. Girl ideas are always harder for me than boys for some reason, so we'll see if next week will by my last.
I really liked this little hoodie, and so does my little guy.
I rescued two shirts from the Goodwill bag.
From the two knit shirts, came a unique toddler hoodie.
I liked the asymmetry, contrasting elements, and the stripes in the fabric.
It even has a cool open pocket!
After taking the pictures, I told my nephew he could take it off, and he said he wanted to keep it on because "I like this big pocket on my belly." I thought about adding 2 big buttons to close the pocket, but decided it would be better to leave it open for easy access.
Hopefully you'll be around this weekend to vote for the Week 2 in PTR!
I seriously love this!! It was one of my favorites this week!
ReplyDeleteI thought this might have been yours. I really like it. I look forward to next weeks creations.
ReplyDeleteI LOVED this little hoodie, especially the front pocket...it was my fave before I even realized that pic was cute RJ :)
ReplyDeleteGreat Job jess!
I knew that was you! Good luck with the flower hair accessory... I have some opinions on this particular "theme" which I'll keep to myself, but I hope inspiration strikes hard and you magically win next week. And then someone throws in a million dollars to boot :o)
ReplyDeleteThis was my favorite. It turned out great!
ReplyDeleteThat is so cool. I love it. Well done!
ReplyDeleteLove it! My husband wanted a second vote so he could vote for your project too.
ReplyDeleteSuper cute! What type of machine are you using to sew? It looks great!
ReplyDeleteLoved this...thought it was yours...I totally voted for you. Gotta love a good project for the little man.
ReplyDeleteCongrats!
This is a fabulous refashion. How do you come up with this stuff?
ReplyDeleteThis is such a cool shirt. I want one in a "big person" size...any way that you might be doing a tutorial or selling the pattern?
ReplyDeleteSooo cute!!
VERY COOL!
ReplyDeleteI love it...and i want one for myself!!!
ReplyDeleteOk. I NEED to make one of these for my son. Is it lined or just one layer throughout the body? I can tell the pocket and hood are double layered.
ReplyDeleteAny chance you're making a tutorial or pattern. That pocket and design is just so unique!
Yes, I agree, super cute! Please make a tutorial or pattern. I'd love to have my mom help me sew one for my son.
