BEFORE:
Our dining room had a ceiling fan as the main light source.
We’ve never used the fan, and it just seemed weird above our eating space.

I found this brass chandelier at the thrift store for $5.
With a wash, primer, and oil rubbed bronze spray paint, we have an actual light fixture that’s a chandelier and has more light with two more light bulbs.

That turned out really nice! Amazing what spray paint can do :)
ReplyDeleteYes! I agree. Ceiling fans are totally weird over an eating space. My husband thought I was crazy when I told him we needed to change kitchen light fixtures for that reason. Yours looks awesome, and you can't beat the price.
ReplyDeleteThat looks terrific!
ReplyDeleteThe change in color makes a huge difference.
Wow, I never would have figured that old light fixture would have fixed up so well. Bravo!
ReplyDeleteWoah, I'm totally impressed!
ReplyDeleteIt looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteThat turned out beautiful and I love it better than the fan for sure. Amee
ReplyDeletethat turned out fabulous! I need new kitchen light fixtures too. I will have to keep my eyes open for something to paint.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful chandlier! I would have never guessed you got it at a thrift store! You did such a great job on it!
ReplyDeleteHooray for cheap and easy! It looks great.
ReplyDeleteYou are the greatest. I still haven't primed that book shelf because I'm too nervous.
ReplyDeleteIt looks so much better! And it's so cheap. It can't get any better than that!
ReplyDeleteWow, for $5 that really is a great find and good looking deal.
ReplyDeleteI really like the scalloped texture on your ceiling.
ReplyDeleteLooks great!
ReplyDeleteWe have a ceiling fan over our dining room table too:( Thanks for sharing this project!
