Simple Blouse Variation: Exposed Zipper

I love black and gold together and when I found a this little zipper in my box I thought it would be perfect for a Simple Blouse variation.

To put an exposed zipper in your blouse, first press on a strip of fusible interfacing over the center front (on the wrong side of the fabric). Make sure it's long enough and wide enough to accommodate your choice of zipper.

Stitch a scant 1/8" on both sides of the center front line, just as long as your zipper.

Slash down the center cutting a small V at the bottom. Press open along the stitching line.

Use a zipper foot to stitch the zipper in to place.
