Garden Skirt

Girls camp is over and I feel like now I can get my free time back.

I’m hoping to get back and blog the projects I’ve made this summer.

This first one is a quick, simple skirt.
Basically a rectangle with a back seam that’s gathered at the waist.
I made a 5” wide strip folded in half for the waistband.

To eliminate the need to sew in a zipper, I made added elastic to the back half of the waistband.
But to add a more finished look, I added interfacing to the front so it’s smooth and flat.

A simple hem and a quick, easy summer skirt.

The fabric is a cotton lawn from lisette that was on clearance at Joanns.
Lisette is a fabric line from the same company Oliver + S to accompany their adult lisette patterns.
