I have some exciting news! I have joined with 4 other awesome blogs to create a new crafting competion!

All 5 of us got together from being former So You Think Your Crafty contestants.

So what is this competition?
One Month to Win It is a monthly craft competition that anyone can win! What's nice is auditioning is just a one month commitment. The two competitions I've participated in were usually almost 3 months long total. I didn't make it that far in either, but hopefully OMTWI will be nice if you know you have things going on and wouldn't want to have to craft on demand during that time. You could always just wait for the next month!
This competition is also faster paced, with 3 contestants going home each week. So as a contestant you'll have an audition project to go along with a theme, then only 4 projects to become a winner. So hopefully if you're interested in craft competing, One Month To Win It will appeal to busy people who would like to give it a try, but hesitate to get too committed.
As a viewer, you'll get to vote and see a lot of projects. Then the next month a whole new batch of crafters to discover will come along.

How do you join?
Audition info can be found here. For Season 1 (held in March), the auditions will be on The Country Chic Cottage February 9th through 16th. Watch for a linky party!

The judges will pick 11 contestants from the audition and the 12th contestant (The Wild Card) will be chosen via randomizer.org.

How does the game work?

12 contestants are choosen via the audition. They are given 4 challenges -- one per week.
Monday - the projects will be posted on One Month to Win It with a public poll.
Friday - the contestants that are moving on will be announced.
Three people are voted out each week. Half the score is from the public poll, the other half is from the judges.

By the end of each month, we have our game winner!

Are there prizes?

Be sure to follow One Month To Win It to keep up with the competition!
If you want to audition for the first month, get any crafty project ready to link up next week, February 9th to 16th on The Country Chic Cottage!
You can only enter one project for the audition, and it must have been made/ posted within the last 3 months.
Remember your audition next week would be committing to compete through the 4 weeks in March.
