I'm pretty pumped to share a giveaway with you!

clever charlotte is giving one lucky reader one of their sewing patterns from their brand new fall line!

So the winner will get to pick their favorite pattern from the new looks!
Pretty great.

The new trio of patterns is launching this week with pre-orders going on right now!

Patterns will begin to be shipped next week.

So there are three different patterns to choose from for the giveaway and the new fall line:

First off the olivine dress.

I love pleats. I'm kind of sick of seeing ruffles and bows, so this pleated dress with the option for the contrasting folds in the skirt pleats really made me excited.
To me it seemed like an elegant dress while still feeling little girl.

The Jasper Vest and Jodhpur Pants

The next look can work for girls or BOYS which is exciting for me to think I can make it either way for either of my kids. I am a big fan of asymmetry so the zipper on the vest seemed like a cool element to make it different.
I also love the equestrian vibe of the jodhpur pants. I've always liked the combination of the rugged/ durable with sophisticated fanciness of equestrian clothes. Unfortunately I've only sewn one thing that's really been equestrian inspired, so I look forward to trying these jodhpurs.

The last pattern the winner gets to pick from:

Peridot Blouse with ankle pants
A comfy loose fitting top with the optional Peter Pan collar and waist band could have lots of variations to go along with the cute ankle pant.
There are the functional side buttons that make the pant really unique and all the different ways you could change the vibe just with your button choice make it a fun pattern to try!

Ooh! How generous! I'd love either one of those. And I made my 15 month old little girl a nightgown last night out of an adult xl tshirt and used your elastic shirring technique for the neckline. It turned out great!

I don't have giveaways very often, but I made a butt-load of shirred pocket skirts and planned to give one away. I actually hate giveaways most of the time because I used to enter them all the time and after never winning I just get annoyed.

So from the poll on the tutorial post, it seemed a lot of people liked the the solid teal blue skirt, and a lot liked the brown with blue contrasting stitching.

So I haven't worn either skirt other than taking the dorky photos, so whoever wins can pick which one they want out of those two.

I'm kind of a bigger girl, so if you're a size 0 or something, even the shirred elastic waist may be too big, but for the most part it should fit most bodies I would think. Also, if it's too long, you could always just press the edge under and hem it one more time to your liking easily.

Asymmetrical Hoodie Pattern Available!

After so many positive comments on the PTR entry for the asymmetrical hoodie, I started working up a tutorial. Thank you to everyone who left a comment, I really appreciate it.

But I found it ended up being so much work, and I realized in the end I really needed to share the actual pattern pieces. Explaining how I designed it in a way that you could mimic just didn't seem to be working.

So I'm selling my first pattern, for the Hipster Hoodie.

While I was putting so much into it, I added smaller sizes, for 2T and 12-18 months while I was at it.

I figured most people wouldn't put a baby smaller than 12 months in a pull over hood shirt out of the inconvenience, so I didn't make sizes smaller than 12 months.

I also included some variations with ideas of how you could adapt the basic pattern using different fabric prints, textures, and an additional three-quarter sleeve option. You can also easily switch the angle of the diagonal, making the front pocket right or left handed. I hope I included enough variety, info, and ideas to make the pattern worth the financial investment!

There were some requests for an adult version of the design. I haven't had a chance to work on that, but hope to offer an adult pattern sometime for those that would be interested.

For me, as a little kid the Barbie cartoon with Jem, Carebears close second.

A little older in the 90s and I was hooked to animated X-Men. Setting my alarm Saturday mornings to watch. It was awesome--cartoon, superheroes, action, and kid friendly soap opera romances. Oh Gambit and Rouge, if only she could touch you and not kill you.
