1:19 PM

Our family has had a tragic loss this week, my husband's father suddenly died due to heart failure.  We're obviously with family this week in preparation for his funeral.
Grief is difficult to deal with, but our faith helps us get through and realize how blessed we are to have had all the years with him.
His two younger sons both had babies on the same day, and we were able to bless them together.
My husband and Ellie are on the left.

So I hope everyone has a good memorial day remembering lost loved ones.
It will be good to have some projects to work on after this week to help cope.  Work is good for grief.

  10. I'm so sorry for your loss. My husband and I lost a good friend two weeks ago due to his sudden death. At the funeral service the priest said something that I've thought of a lot. He said that he asked my friend one day what he enjoyed doing most and he said "yard work". He actually died suddenly while cutting his lawn. The priest said although we are saddened by his death we can also rejoice in the fact that one minute he was doing what he enjoyed most and in the next he was looking into the face of God. I will say a prayer for you and your family. May God comfort you during this difficult time.
